|RESPONSIBILITIES: Incumbent develops, directs and coordinates safety and risk management activities, policies, procedures, and programs with directors, division managers and others to minimize loss resulting from property damage, on-the-job injuries, workers' compensation and contractual and tort liability. Conducts hazard assessments at the work sites and facilities as well as organize safety meetings and training sessions. Plans and coordinate programs to reduce employee injuries and improve productivity through improved safety awareness. The Safety Analyst is accountable for all components associated with the State of Ohio safety intervention grant and administering the City's OSHA/PERRP compliance.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources Administration, Organizational Behavior or a Behavior Science and five (5) years or more of experience in training, counseling, or coaching that would involve professionally working in one or more of the areas i.e. Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Behavior or Human Services.
Master's degree can be substituted for two (2) years of experience.
Degree must be from a college or university that is accredited by the U.S. Department of Education through the North Central Association of Colleges and Universities or equivalent region.
Must possess a valid driver's license at time of appointment and maintain as a term and condition of continued employment.

|Final permanent appointment is contingent upon the applicant passing a job-related medical examination, including drug screen, and providing documentary evidence of Employment Authorization and Identity.
Appointment to positions in this classification will require applicants to pass a police background investigation.
